We take our obligations regarding your privacy, the processing, and the transfer of your personal data very seriously. We ask that you read our privacy policy carefully, as it explains how and for what purposes we collect personal data. Gender, first name, last name, street name, house number, postal code, city, phone number, and email address. Our servers may automatically register certain information, such as URL, IP address, browser type and language, and the date and time of your visit to our websites, primarily through the use of cookies.

Our payment partner receives your information to process payments.

Our IT service providers offer services such as cloud storage, media and advertising services, and website maintenance.

If required by law, we share your customer data with government agencies.

Use of Personal Data

The legal basis for using your personal data is your consent. In the case of an order placed with us and/or a contract entered into with us, the legal basis for using your personal data is the necessity for the proper execution of that order and/or contract.

For existing customers, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in offering you our products and services and keeping you informed about similar products and services.

Mio Home B.V. uses your personal data for the following purposes:

  1. To execute an order.
  2. To inform you about the status of your order.
  3. To measure customer satisfaction.
  4. To respond to your inquiries.
  5. To improve our services and tailor them to your needs. In this context, we may also use your personal data for profiling purposes.
  6. To inform you about current and future activities and offers, either by post, phone, or email.
  7. To send newsletters, both electronically and by post.
  8. Additionally, your data is used anonymously in management information and analysis. With these results, we are better able to further increase customer satisfaction and improve our services, products, and website.
  9. Mio Home B.V. will not make your data available to third parties unless necessary for the proper execution of the order and/or unless required by law.

Retention Period of Personal Data

Personal data that we process with your consent is retained for one year.

Personal data we receive from you in connection with a quote is retained for two years.

Personal data processed in connection with an order placed with us and/or a contract entered into with us is retained until the service or warranty period has expired.

We will not retain your personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was provided. This means that your personal data will be stored as long as necessary to achieve the intended purposes. Certain data must be retained longer (usually 7 years) because we are required to comply with legal retention obligations (such as tax retention obligations).

Accessing and Modifying Your Data

You may request Mio Home B.V. to:

  • Access, correct, or delete the personal data Mio Home B.V. has collected about you.
  • Restrict the processing of the personal data Mio Home B.V. has collected about you.
  • Transfer the personal data Mio Home B.V. has collected about you.

You can submit your request by sending an email to info@mio-home.nl.

To process your request, we ask that you provide the following information:

  • Full name
  • Postal code
  • House number
  • Your request and/or question

We would like to explain why we need this information:

We ask you to provide your full name, postal code, and house number in the email. A correct spelling of your full name is important for our matching principle, which we will explain shortly. Additionally, you are free to decide whether to provide any additional information.

Why do we need this information? It may occur that you are registered multiple times in our system, for instance, if you filled out a form on our website and also requested a quote in-store. In such cases, your data might be slightly different, for example, using initials instead of your full first name or entering your new address instead of your current one. If your data is not identical, you may be registered multiple times in our system.

We will then use a matching principle to search for your personal data in our system. Simply put, we will search for other data based on the information you provide. The more information you provide, the higher the chance that we can find a complete picture of the personal data we have on file. However, it may happen that not all of your personal data in our system is found because we couldn’t match it.

To ensure that the request was made by you, we will send a confirmation email to the email address we have on file after receiving your request. We will only process your request once we have received confirmation of this email.

Mio Home B.V. aims to handle your request as quickly as possible but will do so within the legally established period of 1 month. Once we have processed your request, we will provide you with the necessary information. If your request is denied (this may be because your request conflicts with the law), we will provide you with an explanation as to why Mio Home B.V. was unable to process your request.

The information you provide will only be used to process your request. Once your request has been completed, this information will be deleted. You have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you wish.

Objection

You can always indicate that you do not wish to be contacted for marketing activities. This can be done by sending an email to info@mio-home.nl.
